MyStorage: Long or Short Term Self-Storage Solution in Saigon

If you have managed to acquire too many things while living in Vietnam, or if you are going on a short trip and don’t want to take your huge bag with you on the plane, consider renting a storage unit or locker.

MyStorage is a secure, air-conditioned, restricted-access storage facility in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) that we have personally had a great experience with. Check out our story below!

Our Experience

We’d been living in Saigon for about a month but had yet to secure a lease on an apartment. But we had managed to secure a lot of extra clothes and shoes during our one month stay. So when we decided to take a 2-week trip to Taiwan, we knew we couldn’t carry all of our newfound knock-offs with us.

We found MyStorage online and easily booked a locker for our large duffel bag. They reached out to us to schedule a time to pick it up and sent us our receipt and contract via email.

The incredibly friendly representative showed up to our Airbnb about 5 minutes early and waited in the lobby for us to bring the bag down. He had an iPad for us to check the contract and sign, and he had a zip tie for the zippers that we signed to ensure that our belongings would be secure.

He also brought a credit card machine so that the payment was fast and easy.

When we returned from our trip we just scheduled a time the next day to have our bag dropped off at our new apartment. In fact, one of the owners, Aric, personally showed up with our bag!

Storage Solutions and Pricing

MyStorage offers air-conditioned, private, self-storage units and self-storage lockers. You can choose the best fit for you depending on the amount of stuff you have to store.

The largest storage units are considered “premium” warehouse storage and can fit anywhere from a few boxes up to an entire apartment. They have free pick-up and delivery and prices start at 16,500 VND (~$.72 USD) per day. However, you will not have your own private storage unit.

The smaller self-storage units are sized 1 to 3.5 cubic meters and you will have an entire private unit for yourself. They also offer free pick-up and delivery and prices start at 1,000,000 VND (~$43 USD) per month.

And finally, the lockers are 58 cm x 45 cm x 45 cm in size and prices start at 4,900 VND (~$.21 USD) per day.

Convenient Pick-Up and Drop-Off

The best thing about MyStorage is that they will pick-up your items to be stored from your home or office to deliver them to the storage facility in a large van. And when you are ready, they’ll drop them back off for you!

Plus the delivery driver will bring a credit card machine so you can pay your fees easily without worrying about exchanging cash.
