Virion: The Best Shop in HCMC for Brand Name Overruns

I have no idea how or why this is possible, but Virion is a seemingly legitimate clothing shop in Ho Chi Minh City that sells name brands at a fraction of the price you would expect to pay in the US. And if you are a fan of Forever 21 in the US, you’ll love Virion because most of their clothes are overrun from the Forever 21 factory. So you can get the exact same items for about a third of the price.

Virion is by far my favorite clothing shop in Ho Chi Minh City!

The Shop

We’ve found two different shops in Ho Chi Minh City that have essentially the same overrun business model – Virion and Ombre. But unless you want to sit on a dirty floor and rummage through piles of clothes, you should probably stick to Virion. It is much more organized than Ombre and the prices at both are quite similar.

Virion is organized into t-shirts, pants, dresses, and activewear although the brands are intermingled in those groupings.

The Brands

The most common brand that you’ll find at Virion is Forever 21. They also generally carry Zara, American Eagle Outfitters, Gap, and a host of others. They only sell clothing, no shoes or intimate items.

The Pricetag

Most of the items of clothing in Virion are under 200k VND (~$8.50 USD) so it’s a great place to stock up on some essentials. And while most of the shops in Vietnam sell knockoffs so the quality is unknown, you know that you can trust the brands at Virion.
