The Loft Cafe: Relaxing Saigon Coffee Shop with 2 Locations

The Loft Cafe & Bistro is a darling little Saigon coffee shop hidden at the back of a parking lot, and up a narrow staircase on the second floor. Once inside you’ll find lots of tables and big windows to let in plenty of natural light. A large window clock is the central focus point for this little hidden gem.

The location of The Loft is confusing not just because you’ll have to go through a parking lot to find it, but also because there are actually two locations that are only about a block apart. But you really can’t go wrong with either location!

The Ambiance

The ambiance at The Loft Cafe & Bistro is relaxed and laidback, which is why it is a popular place for locals and expats to get work done. Some of the tables have hard, straight-backed chairs while others sit lower and are cushioned depending on your preference.

The Loft is not only a great place to work, but also for catching up with friends or just enjoying a good book on your own. It’s quiet but not TOO quiet so you won’t feel intimidated if you choose to chat.

The servers at The Loft are friendly and attentive but will essentially leave you alone unless you need something.

The Menu

The Loft Cafe & Bistro offers a wide menu of both Western and Asian classics at reasonable prices. Plus they have an extensive drinks menu that includes coffee, blended shakes, smoothies, juices, tea, soft drinks, and beer.

They also offer a few delicious desserts including a warm chocolate brownie and banana bread. The desserts come with a scope of their creamy gelato on top – the perfect sugary sweet afternoon snack!

The Pricetag

Prices at The Loft are quite reasonable! Coffee drinks range from 40,000 – 60,000 VND, smoothies are 55,000 – 65,000 VND, and the menu has a wide price range depending on your order.

The daily and weekend specials are an amazing deal! The current weekend offering is a complementary Vietnamese coffee with the purchase of a dessert. It’s impossible to pass that up!

Our Recommendation

If you are a digital nomad looking to get some work done in Saigon, then The Loft Cafe & Bistro is the perfect place to spend an afternoon! We’d recommend grabbing a table by the window for a nice view of the street below and taking advantage of whatever special they have going on that day.

Spend a few hours here, tasting their yummy drink concoctions and sampling their food offerings. And make sure you don’t leave without ordering the brownie with a scope of mint gelato on top!
